Acid Rainstorm Short Story | Activity 3 (Day 5) - Summer Learning Journey | WEEK 3

My Short Story: We finished getting ready, and I opened the door to head outside when the smell of smoke and dead environment swooshed into the house. I look out to only see lifeless trees and dead grass. A face of complete shock came over me and I was so speechless. My eyes crossing the dry land, inspecting every tree, every mountain, the crispy grass, the lonely sky, and the sudden disappearance of all the birds and animals. Everywhere lacked the vibrant summery colour it used to have. I wanted to get a closer look of the destroyed area. I took a single step onto the land but felt like I was killing it more and I'd never felt more guilty for what had happened. I was so crushed of the state of my home I fell onto my knees and tucked my head in my arms as I sat in the middle of what was.

This was the final Activity for Week 3 ending in Activity 3 of Day 5 in the Summer Learning Journey. For this Activity I had to imagine my family and I decide to go on a walk after an acid rainstorm. I needed to write a short story about what happened when I opened the door to leave. To earn the full points the short story had to be 8 to 10 sentences long which mine is 8.

  1. Greetings Victoria,
Wow! Your now on week 4. My rainstorm wasn't really scary but some of my story was about people making a snowman with acid. My one was 8 too!

    Keep it up Victoria!

  2. Greetings Victoria,
"WOW" what an amazing story from you. The adjectives that you've used are great. My favourite sentence is my eyes crossing the dry land, inspecting every tree, every mountain, the crispy grass, the lonely sky, and the sudden disappearance of all the birds and animals. Which one is your favourite? Tell me.

    Nice One!

  3. Hi Victoria

This story is really, really impressive. Really descriptive and places the reader right there in the action. Well done! What sort of books do you like to read? Do you like to do a lot of writing? I think I know the answer to that!

Your comments on other blogs are amazing, too
