Narrative - Piha Beach

“Man! doesn’t Piha Beach just feel soo relaxing,” Roni gasps.
A couple of friends and I have just arrived at Piha Beach after walking for an hour. Ivy thinks that since Piha Beach is so famous that we will get famous being here too, so she dragged Roni and me along with her. Ivy went searching for video cameras while Roni and I had a little tan.

“HELP! HELP”
“Did you hear that sound? It’s like….Ivy,” Roni says in a worried voice.
“No, what? I don’t hear Ivy,” I say confused.
“HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME”
“Wait…..wait a second I hear it...yeah that does actually sound like Ivy,”
Roni quickly gets up, turns around and wipes  the sunscreen off her nose.
“Look! It’s Ivy, it looks like she’s drowning in those  giant waves,” Roni shouts.
I get up and run to the nearest lifesaver.
“Sir, excuse me?” I ask politely.
“Yes, what is the problem?”
“My friend down there *points to Ivy* is drowning. Could you please help her.”
“Of course it’s my job.”
The lifesaver runs to Ivy and blows his whistle to get her attention. He then throws a seabiscuit at Ivy.
“Grab hold!” he shouts.
Ivy wipes away her tears.

When Ivy gets out,not to our surprise, her hands are trembling and she looks embarrassed. She runs to give the lifesaver a big hug.
“Thank you so much you’ve saved my life,” she says with joy.
“So… um how did you get in there?” I giggle.
“Well… long story,”
“I think we should be careful around these places and get some surfing lessons,”Roni suggests
“Great idea,” Ivy says.
We all giggle and head home.
