Kōkako Bird | Activity 1 (Day 3) - Summer Learning Journey | WEEK 3

Short Description: These beautiful blue birds are found in species belong to the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Kōkako usually feast on leaves and fruits as their food. These native birds have a blue flap of skin on the side of the mouth called a 'wattle'. The rest of it's body is a blueish Gray color complimenting the making the blue flap pop. Covering their eyes is black mask like patch.

This was Activity 1 of Day 3 for Week 3 on the Summer Learning Journey. For this Activity I had to pick a native bird from the variety on a provided site and write a description about them. The description of the bird had to include what it usually eats, where it usually lives, and also an attributed picture of this bird below the description. The bird I chose was the Kōkako because it was so beautiful and caught my eye scrolling through the site of all the birds.
