Air Pollution | Activity 1 (Day 5) - Summer Learning Journey | WEEK 3

1: One new thing I learnt that Photo chemical smog is the reaction when nitrogen oxides that can be from cars and factories that reacts with the sun.
2: Smog is harmful to plants and eyes as well.
3: Natural causes of air pollution can come from volcano eruptions and fires.

This was Activity 1 of Day 5 for Week 3 of the Summer Learning Journey. For this Activity I had to watch a short video on air pollution and the natural and human causes of the pollution. After watching that, I had to list three new things I learnt about air pollution from the video. I may have new the third fact so it wasn't something new exactly.

  1. Greetings Victoria,
"WOW" what an amazing story from you. The adjectives that you've used is good. I love you 3 learning facts. I didn't know that photo chemical smog is the reaction when nitrogen oxides that can be from cars and factories that reacts with the sun. Nice learning fact.

  2. Hi Victoria!

My name is Ellee I am another commentor on the Summer Learning Journey team!
I hope you have had an awesome school holidays? :)

Great job with sharing some of the information you learnt. This was great for me to read and learn about different pollutents we have.
These are some really interesting things you have learnt from the video...It's also really sad in my opinion.
I think it's horrible that human activity is the main cause of pollution and there's not enough happening to reduce it!

Have you talked much about pollution in school?
I am sure you would know of some great initiatives to help reduce pollution and the production of greenhouse gases?

I was having a look into different things I could do to help reduce what I could be contributing to pollution and I came across this video about waste which I thought was pretty cool:

Do you think we could do this is New Zealand one day?
I am sure it would take a while but could be pretty cool way to make people far moer aware of their waste! :)

    Nga mihi,
    Ellee :)
