Dance Lesson #1



This week Thursday was our first P.E lesson: Dancing with Miss Rebecca. Today our goal was to try our best to let go and feel free when we are dancing. She tells us there is no wrong way to dance. Our topic is 'Me and my body'. But the first thing we did was warming up, to get our heart rate up and stretch. Miss Rebecca played music while we were all in a circle and got us to copy her and move around. I've learnt that dance is really expressive and creative. The music she played really helped me dance in different ways and with my friends. Next we did a freeze activity, where she played some music and whenever she paused it she would call out a thing/shape to make with our body; i.e stick or a star. Then she would start making it harder, by getting us to make these shapes with the people around us. We tried coming up with some unique ways to create shape/s with eachother. Our last activity was mixing into 4 groups and working together to quickly create a letter in the alphabet in 15 secs.
