This was Activity 1 for Day 2 of Week 3 for the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity I had to read five fill in facts about Bumblebees and write the answers in the blank positions. I had to do research for some of the questions and learn more about Bumblebees. The underlined words are the filled in answers written by me.
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria,
What an amazing blog post from you. I love it how you've underline your answers, so that it's easier for the readers to know what you added in. Most of my answers were similar to you. Do you love Bumble Bees?
Nice One!
Hello Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI'm Evelyn and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you are having fun on this journey!
You've done a superb job on filling in the blanks for each of these unbee-lievable facts about bumblebees! Yes, you're absolutely correct, the word bumble means to hum, buzz or drone. Bumblebees are so small, it's hard to believe that they can fly as fast as 54 km/hr. That's much faster than the fastest man can run on earth! Are you afraid of bumblebees? I used to be terrified of them but my dad is a beekeeper and we have a few beehives at home so I'm used to them now.
Happy blogging,
Evelyn :)

ReplyDeleteWell done for completing this task! Bumblebees are very important to our ecosystems. Have you noticed how small the wings of the bumblebees are? Sometimes I wonder how they are even able to fly! They have such large bodies and such tiny wings!
All animals have special adaptations that help them survive! Do you have any favourite animals?
Keep up the great work!
He Whetu Koe! (You’re a star!)
