Activity 3: Choose your own
For the last activity of week 3, we end it off with another choose your own. There are no wrong or right answers, so we were able to choose choose any scientist, technologist, or inventor which those labels are specifically in the theme for this week, who interest us and we think has changed the world. I decided to go with an inventor we looked into a little bit for one of the activities named Tim Berners-Lee who invented the World Wide Web or, "WWW." and more! The information you can find on the page are about who he is and what he has done.
Tim Berners-Lee has impacted many people's lives with the World Wide Web, whether for the best or worst. Having this technology and system has improved the generation especially with this really useful part of the internet/online. One of his quote's being "You affect the world by what you browse."

Hi Victoria!,
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats on completing the last activity of week 3. Tim Berners-Lee looks like an amazing inventor. You have a great layout with enough information to tell the readers about Tim Berners-Lee. I can't believe he created the World Wide Web. That's awesome!
Great Work!
Hi Victoria
ReplyDeleteThe WWW is something we take for granted now days. Just think we wouldn't be able to participate in the Summer Learning Journey without it. I wonder if when he created this that he had any vision of how it would look today. Well done on completing another great week.
The WWW is only 30 years old and mainly thanks to...Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee also known as TimBL. He is an English engineer and computer scientist, best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web when he was 34. He is a Professorial Fellow of Computer Science at the University of Oxford and a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Keep blogging Victoria and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you picked someone that created something vital for so many people nowadays. I also liked how you included on of his quotes: "You affect the world by what you browse". Would you want to create something like the world wide web one day?
