Activity 3: Girl Power
For this activity looked at two young female singers, Jessica Mauboy and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. They are both great role models, being people who have faced challenges and overcome them in order to achieve their dreams. We were then asked to choose one role model whether it is someone we know personally, or from the internet. I decided to create a poster about Beyonce, an American female artist. She has done a lot with her career, and knows how to carry herself. Otherwise I would've chose my mom, because she is a great example of independence and she works hard.

ReplyDeleteHi Victoria!,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great DLO you have created, with information about Beyonce and why she is a role model. I can really understand why you have chosen Beyonce as a role model. She is a great choice. It's great that you have been positive and active with these Summer Learning Journey activities. What's one of your favourite songs from Beyonce?
Nice Work!
Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI liked how you said that Beyonce is an independent woman who's worked hard to achieve what she has today. I found it interesting that that you said she was popular in the late 1900's. Would you want to become a singer?
