Tech (Wood Work)

This week in tech for wood work with Mr. Grundy at Tamaki College, the year 7's continued making their designs. Everyone is on to sawing the wood by now, and some people are making their joints. I measured the size of the cut so that my jointed piece could fit, then I sawed down the sides before chiselling out the middle. My joint fits, but it is a little loose on the sides. Next week I would like to get at least the both wall/sides of my bird house design done. 

Tech | Wood Work

This week Friday at tech, we had Wood Work with Mr. Grundy. We were finishing up our 8 designs and checking them, making sure each of them had a joint. Out of the 8 I created, I chose to be going to make the chest of draws. We then had to answer a few questions about our creation, like what is it for and why did we choose it. I would be using it to hide things in, like jewellery. Next week we might get up to making it.
