Tech @ Tamaki College Reflection

This week Friday the year 8’s started their first session of tech at Tamaki College. This term we are working with pewter in  Mr. Grundy’s class. On our first day we looked at a few examples of some of the things we might be creating, and Mr. Grundy also showed us the process of how it is created. Then we started making up some of our own ideas for the pewter.

Robotics (Tech) | Tamaki College

Last week Friday we continued robotics with Mr. Keishnier by controlling our robots to move. We've already began making our robots move around, and we have been controlling them to go in a certain path or pattern. Like following the lines of a square,  rectangle, and triangle. Last week we made our robots move in circles, and tried making them move in a figure of eight which was very difficult. With all the tasks we complete, we took photos of the steps on mblock and take a video.

Tech (Tamaki College) | Graphics w/ Mrs. Ferguson

This week at Tamaki College, LS2 had their last session of tech for the term. The year 7's we're begin to create their games on paper. Using the light box, and shape stencils to help us design the best for our planning. Mrs. Ferguson showed us to tinker-cad and we explored some of the tools on there. I am making a tic tac toe board, but instead of crossses and o's they are apples and banana's. We were even given a challenge to make our teacher using tinker cad and the shapes, etc.
