Tech - Graphics
This Friday was our last week at the Graphics rotation. I've finished my board, and found myself game pieces although they weren't what I had planned. I was moving around fast because we didn't have much time until the session was over, meaning I couldn't paint anything. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use the best of what I had because half of the time I spent outside with Miiana. This was annoying because I couldn't get what I needed to get done, done. The reason I was sent outside on the steps, was completely off to what really happened. My last day made an effect to my whole experience there and it was not good. I couldn't say that I loved graphics, but I definitely learned new things which is what matters. If I go there again, next time I would work faster to get things done.

Tech w/ Mrs Ferguson | Graphics
This week for Tech I've already finished making my Tic Tac Toe Board. I have sanded my pieces, glued my two main square cut layers together, and glued that to the base of my board. I went back on tinker-cad to look at my different game pieces, and I finished my Design Development Presentation. Mrs. Ferguson reminded the year 7's that not everyone will have a completed game by next week, since it is the last week of the Graphics Rotation. But she also said she will finish them off in the following weeks and deliver them to us when she comes for inquiry Mondays. Next week I hope to get some of my game pieces made, since I need 9 copies of each.

Tech @Tamaki College w/ Mrs. Ferguson (Graphics)
This week at tech, the year 7's continued planning and creating their 3D games. I've finally made my Tic Tac Toe board using the laser cutter, and Mrs. Ferguson's help. There were separate pieces to put together that had to be aligned in a certain way, then were glued together. Now I am planning the actual game pieces on tinker-cad. I wanted them to be other than a cross and circle. What I have in mind are fruit shapes or heart and stars. I hope to finish before the term and play other peers games too.

Tech - Graphics w/ Mrs. Ferguson
This week at tech we started creating the pieces for our 3D Games. Planning them on tinker-cad, and sending it to Mrs. Ferguson. I am still creating the "Tic tac toe" pieces but hearts and stars instead. We even used Plasticine to create the real life design. I need to make 9 of these and still need to create the game board. Some of us used Thingiverse to look at the creations for the related subjects.

Tech | Graphics
This week at tech with Mrs. Ferguson, we continued structuring our 3D games. We took a look at tinker-cad again, trying to finish our 3D recreation of Mrs. Anderson. I am still working on my Tic Tac Toe game, making my board and planning my banana and apple playing pieces. Mrs. Ferguson helped me laser cut the paper, and I used tinker cad to help figure out the size and what the "tic tac toe" pieces will look like.

Tech (Tamaki College) | Graphics w/ Mrs. Ferguson
This week at Tamaki College, LS2 had their last session of tech for the term. The year 7's we're begin to create their games on paper. Using the light box, and shape stencils to help us design the best for our planning. Mrs. Ferguson showed us to tinker-cad and we explored some of the tools on there. I am making a tic tac toe board, but instead of crossses and o's they are apples and banana's. We were even given a challenge to make our teacher using tinker cad and the shapes, etc.

Tech | Graphics w/ Mrs. Ferguson
This week Friday at tech, the year 7's began creating 4 3D game designs on paper. Mrs. Ferguson showed us her 3D game creations of Tic Tac Toe, Checkers, Tower of Hanoi, and a flexible plastic dinosaur and squid. As my ideas, I drew a Tic Tac Toe Board with the x's and o's replaced with apples and bananas. Then I drew a 5 x 5 puzzle of a fruit bowl. My third I idea I was able to get down was a connect for with small pictures on the front of the plastic circles. I am planning on doing my first idea, because I really enjoyed playing with the 3D Tic Tac Toe that Mrs. Ferguson made.

Tech | Graphics
This week Friday was tech at tamaki college. The year 7's continued with Mrs. Ferguson in Graphics, first finishing off our DLO of games that make you think. Then Mrs. Ferguson introduced us to 3 words we would be focusing on; Dimension/Size, Tone, and Oblique. 2D Shapes have 2 sizes of width, and height, and 3D shapes have the exact same +depth. We learnt how to easily make 3D Shapes, including squares, and triangles, and tried to draw it ourselves. Then we used tones to colour them. We can control the tones by the force we use to get a lighter or darker colour, and we tested this by doing 3 shades with the pencil from light, medium, and dark. We first tried it with a pencil, then used any colouring pencil making the top of the cube light, the side of the cube dark, and the front medium. I enjoyed trying to make the shapes look 3D, and using tone to help that. Today the year 7's also received their wood work creations from the last rotation. I am really happy with my bird-house, and can't wait to take it home to show my family.
