Kiwi Sport
This week Wednesday we had our second session of our Kiwi Sport, Ki O Rahi with our coach Shaniece. This week we got a practise playing the game, but first learnt the rules of how to play and the names of the areas. It was called Golden Child. There were two teams which were Taniwha, and Ki Oma. One group on the outside would get into a line and be the runners. One at a time, the person at the front would have to run around the the circle of poles tapping each one. The group standing outside the green cones in side the poles, would have the goal of trying to get the current runner out by throwing a ball at the middle cylinder. The last runner would be the golden child, and where ever people were standing when they were out, could run when the golden child passed them. The roles would alternate after we had about 5 rounds. The winners weren't announced by Shaniece but we all had fun. Finishing up we said goodbye to our coach, and got a drink of water to cool down.
