L.I: To analyse a story for it's conflict and resolution.
This week for reading we read a new story called Painted Hoe and had to find its conflict and resolution. This was a bit tricky because the story was true, but we were able to figure it out. Once reading the first two pages, we had to identify who the main parties were as in groups of people, and what the conflict might be. We soon went away and read the rest of the story to find the resolution. We had to go through the whole story and submit a question using a form so that we could understand the book more. We then had to fill out a conflict and resolution graphics organiser to painted hoe like we did last week with the book Sparks. We were to fill out the empty boxes for the characters, their ideals/wants, the conflict it caused, two actions leading up to the last box, which was the resolution.
