Summer Learning Journey | Activity 1 (Day 2)

Image result for Wharepuni
Differences:

A Wharepuni has traditional carving patterns all around it.
A Warepuni has maori carvings/statues on the outside.

Similarities:
There is a roof, walls, doors and windows.
It is a 1 story house like mine.

For activity 1 of day 2 of the Summer learning journey, we had to compare the wharepuni to our own home. The wharepuni is where maori slept and I put an image of it above. We had to make a blog post and write two similarities and two differences. The wharepuni doesn't really look like my house.

  1. Hi Victoria,
How great that you used a picture to illustrate what a Wharepuni looks like, it will help your followers to have an visual idea of what is that you are talking about.
    Really good job here!

  2. Hello Victoria
Well done on completing this summer learning journey activity. I like the differences and similarities that you listed. Do you know why the traditional carvings and the statues are there? Keep up the excellent work Victoria.
