This week for maths we had to create a test to see if "wheel decide" is actually random or not. Wheel decide is a site that lets you spin it and then it will land on one of the choices you have put. For this, we had to work in pairs so Sakina and I did this test together. In the class room we had plastic coins that were for maths so we used that as well for the test. How the test went is one person would flip the plastic coin 100 times and write how many times it landed on heads or tails on the google sheets whilst the other person spun the wheel decide 100 times and write down how many time it landed on a heads or tails on the google sheet. Then we had to switch so now the person who did the wheel decide, now had to do the coin flipping and the one who was doing the coin flipping is now doing the wheel decide. For the coin flip, we actually got 100 heads and 100 tails for each and for the wheel decide we got 97 heads and 103 tails. After everyone finished doing this, we added up all the data from everyone's tests on a google sheets. We put the results of our coin flips and wheel decide spins and put our and our partners initials above it so we knew whos results they were. After adding it up, the total flips and spins were 2160. All together there were, 1087 heads for the coin flips and 1073 tails for the coin flips. The numbers were pretty close. All together for wheel decide, 1087 heads and 1082 tails. The numbers for that were also close. The conclusion is that wheel decide is random.
