Kiwi Sport
This week LS1 had kiwi sport in the hall with coach Kevin. First we played stuck in the mud to get us warmed up. The two taggers were Matthew and Aung Naing. If you got tagged by them you had stand there and wait until someone came and clapped between your legs and touched your hand so then you were free to go. Then we all got a racket and got into pairs then got one shuttle to share between the both of us. My pair was Sakina. In our pairs, we just practised doing the same thing we did last week and doing back hand to forehand rally and all that. After playing a few rounds of that with our buddy we learnt to back hand serve. To do the back hand serve you have to hold your racket in back hand position, hold the shuttle away from you and remember to hold it buy pinching the top of it, place the round part of the shuttle on the racket and then hit it. We first practised the back hand serve before Kevin actually got out the badminton net so the pairs could battle other pairs. The first pair to get to 2 points one and the pair who lost, had to leave and the next pairs that were standing in line would then verse the winner. Lastly we had a recap on what we did at badminton and learnt before saying our goodbyes to Kevin and going back to class.
