Kiwi Can
This week Wednesday LS1 had a kiwi can lesson in room 7 with only Ms. Latoya. The theme was still respect. She numbered all of us off from 1 to 4 and whatever number we were we had to be in the team/group. First thing we played was stinky/smelly feet. For this game, Ms. Latoya put hula hoops around the class room and we had to walk around but when she called out a number, that amount of foots needed to be in the hula hoop. You had to make sure your whole foot or both feet were in then sit down when you were done. Ms. Latoya looked around counting and making sure we did it properly. If your group didn't make the number Ms. Latoya called out you had to sit out. Every time more people left, she would take away some of the hula hoops. Then we played bean bag tag, for this game two of the teams played at a time and every time, one group would be the taggers and the other group had to run away and try not to get tagged. If you got tagged you had to sit out. You couldn't run with the bean bag in your hand, you just had to pass it to each team mate so if they were near one of the runners then they could try and reach over to tag them. Then when Ms. Latoya said stop the next two groups would come on. Each team got to swap roles so we could all have a go at what its like to be a tagger or runner. We then talked about the phrase "Put your self in my shoes" and talked about what it means and talked about what empathy is and how we can show it. Lastly we had GKQ which stands for General knowledge questions. For GKQ, some people stand up and Ms. Latoya will ask a questions then someone has to try and give the answer quickly before anyone else. Then we said goodbye to Ms. Latoya and headed off back to class.
